Racing Against Mother Nature

Another successful night of racing took place under dark clouds and a full moon at Little New Smyrna last Wednesday. It looked doubtful that any racing would happen due to the bad storms moving through all of Central Florida. In fact, the last race of the evening had a wild lightening show off in the distance as the two drivers competed for the checkered flag. Bu, luck was on our side and we were able to run the entire schedule without a drop of water hitting the track.

The evening's six feature races were full of close competition. Lap after lap there were lead changes and passes throughout the fields. All our drivers are improving on their racing skills. From the novice division through the Heavy GX class, the winner's list is always changing. (Race Results 9/5/01)
