Little New Smyrna Families Team Up
Congratulations drivers! Out of the five feature races last week we had very few cautions. There was even a race that went green flag to checkered flag. The racing is always thrilling for the parents, friends and spectators who have been coming out to support our children.

Little New Smyrna Speedway has a lot of things to be proud of so far in its first year of existence. Each week we are seeing some wonderful sportsmanship both on and off the track. There have been several NSQMRA families who have teamed up to assist in running the program. In return, we are seeing some great race results on the track.

We are continually looking for volunteers to learn how to judge, corner, score, pit-steward or flag on race nights. It helps the program to run smoother and get the show done in a timely manner. Helping out also teaches everyone just how the program runs and gives each person a better understanding of the sport.

A reminder that two goals of QMA are: 1) To create and maintain a clean, safe healthy sport which may be enjoyed by all family members in a close relationship with good sportsmanship by all, and 2) To impress upon the younger generation the idea of fairness, generosity, good sportsmanship and a sense of responsibility.

Our children learn by examples of how we display our sportsmanship and by the way we volunteer our time. Keep up the great job. It will make for a stronger NSQMRA membership. Your efforts are very much appreciated. (Race Results 8/29/01)
