NSQMRA 2008 Tire Rule

The Goal of this Rule is to make Quarter Midget racing more affordable and to make for more equal & competitive racing in these divisions.

1. All QMA Rules apply to this tire rule.

2. This rule applies for points night only. Rule does NOT apply in Novice and World Formula Divisions.

3. Right side tires will be marked after heat race in scale area by assigned official. It is handler’s responsibilities to ensure tires are marked immediately after every heat race.

4. Right side tires that are run in any heat races can be the same used marked right side tires you  race in the A main. Any RS tire that has not been previously marked before the feature race will result in a DQ from that racing event when tire is inspected after the race.

5.  You may run any tire new or used in any of the Heat /Transfer races leading up to the A Main. Be sure to get these tires branded after any of these heat races.

6. Tires can be cleaned with a heat gun scraper & water only. No cutting or truing of tires at race track with a machine.

7. In case of a damaged right side tire in the feature race the replacement tire must be a previously used marked tire. No new sticker unmarked tire will be allowed to be used. If new tire is used it will result in a DQ from that racing event.

8. If you do not run a heat race due to late registration, you will start in the last position of the lowest Main.  You will need to have your tires stamped immediately after that race.  If there is only one Main, then you will need to run a used/stamped tire in that A-Main.  Upon arrival at the track, you will need to notify the Race Director of your late arrival.

9. If you do not run a heat race due to a DNS, you will start in the last position of the lowest Main.  You will need to have your tires stamped immediately after that race.  If there is only one Main, then you will need to run a used/stamped tire in that A-Main.

10. It is the Handler’s responsibility to make sure that your tires are stamped.
